June 5 : The Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA) has prepared a preliminary list of Nepali citizens in various foreign countries who want to return back their country.
As per the data made available by NRNA, a total of 40 thousand such citizens are currently looking to return home due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“18 thousand Nepalis in the UAE, eight thousand four hundred in Qatar, six thousand five hundred in Saudi Arabia, three hundred in Bahrain and seven hundred in Oman are looking to return home. Similarly, six thousand two hundred Nepalis want to return home from Malaysia,” states the NRNA.
It is said to have already directed all its branches in various countries to facilitate in the repatriation process of these people in coordination with the related Nepali embassies and diplomatic missions.
