With the merger of Singapore Airlines and Silk Air, the airline is now expanding its services to Silk Air destinations.

In this connection, an aircraft landed in Nepal on Sunday after nearly 20 years. According to Raj Kumar Chhetri, spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Singapore Airlines, the national flag carrier of Singapore, has merged Silk Air with itself.

With this, the airline has now started flying to Nepal. In the past, it used to come to Kathmandu. Singapore later suspended flights after Silk was introduced as a budget airline.

According to the authority, Singapore has been allowed to operate a single flight every Sunday. The flight carrying 109 passengers to Kathmandu landed at Tribhuvan Airport on Sunday.

This aircraft returned from Nepal with 4 passengers. At present, Singapore has banned Nepali and foreign passengers from entering the country from Nepal.

However, passengers can come to Nepal from Singapore. Even these four passengers were only diplomats, who received permission from Singapore.
