The telecom organization informed that for few days, missed calls have been received to Nepal Telecom’s mobile numbers from abroad, and even when the call is successful, no one speaks, the machine automatically answers, and money is deducted from the customer’s balance.

According to the telecom, in the last few days, the company’s mobile service customers have been auto-dialing from their mobiles, the call log is not visible on the mobiles of the customers with auto-dial, and money has been deducted if the external call is successful.

As such incidents may happen through apps or websites on the customer’s mobile, the customer is requested not to install unnecessary and suspicious apps on their mobile set.

Although there are no such unauthorized calls from the company’s equipment in general, for the convenience of the company’s customers, the company is conducting necessary analysis regarding such unauthorized actions that are being carried out through an app or website, the NT said.

NT has also urged customers to be vigilant to avoid unauthorized and unwanted calls and to use the locking code provided by the company to open the ISD service when needed and turn off the service when not needed.
