The Investment Board made public its Strategic Plan including these goals on the occasion of its 10th anniversary today. Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, who is also the Chairperson of IBN, released the strategic plan.

“It is seen that there will be a shortfall of a total annual average of Rs 558 billion to achieve the sustainable development goals. It is not easy for us to attract that much investment when various countries themselves are effortful in bringing investment in the present adverse situation created by COVID-19. But we are hopeful,” the PM said.

The strategic plan aims to help create at least 100 thousand jobs as well as to contribute towards creating an environment for the promotion of impactful investment. It has also spelled out five important main goals for developing IBN into an excellent center for private-public partnership.
