Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that the US aid project Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) will be passed by the federal parliament.
Speaking to reporters in Dhangadhi on Friday, Prime Minister Deuba, who is in Sudur Paschim Province to inspect the damage caused by the floods and landslides, said that there will not be any amendment on MCC and will be endorsed by parliament.
“The project will be enforced under Nepal’s law,” he said.
Prime Minister Deuba added, “It has been misrepresented by spreading rumors. It is not like that. MCC is in Nepal’s interest. It should be passed unconditionally.”
Though there is a plan to build an electric transmission line in Nepal from US$ 5 million projects, it has not been approved by the parliament.
