In the first six months of the current fiscal year, 154 domestic and foreign industries have been registered. According to the Department of Industry, 51 more industries have been registered in the current fiscal year than last year.

According to the statistics of the department, 45 large, 57 medium and 52 small scale domestic and foreign industries have been registered during this period. These industries have proposed a total investment of Rs 186 billion.

During the same period last year, 103 industries were registered. These industries employ at least 13,748 people. A total of 30.56 billion foreign investment proposals have been accepted during this period. A total of 1680 trademarks have been registered in the last six months.

Meanwhile, an investment commitment of Rs. 72.62 billion has been received till mid-January of FY 2077/07. As of mid-January of the current Fiscal Year, a commitment of Rs. 186 billion has been made. This investment commitment has increased by 158.33 percent, according to the department.
