The developer company Seti Hydro Power Pvt Ltd is constructing the project in Musetoda of Kaski district. The officials of the project said they have expedited the work targeting to complete construction in the next two years.

Ujjal Regmi, chief of the Seti Khola Project, said out of 3,100 meters long headworks and headrace tunnels, they have dug 1,200 m. The tunnels are situated in Pokhara Metropolis-33 of Musetoda.

Regmi said some structures of headworks including fold wall and slope protection have been constructed, while 50 percent work of the sand sedimentation pond has been done. “Also, the work on power house construction is expedited to complete the project in the stipulated time,” he said.

The company is building the project in Q42 design discharge model under a consortium led by Kumari Bank Limited. GMA Construction has been contracted to build civil construction, while Machhapuchhre Metal is given a contract for the hydro-mechanical work. According to the company, it has started work on gate and penstock fabrication.

Likewise, the project has handed over the contract of the design and fabrication of the electro-mechanical work to an Italian company. Tunnel In-charge Prakash Paudel said a 1.5 km transmission line is being designed to evacuate the produced electricity. He also added that the electricity produced by the project will be supplied to the 132 kV Lekhnath-Damauli transmission line by using the ‘loop-in loop-out’ technology.
