The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index fell by 10.61 points on Monday, closing at 2,633.32. A total of 17.25 million shares from 312 companies were traded in 87,564 transactions, with a total turnover of NPR 8.92 billion.
In terms of sector performance, the banking group declined by 0.55%, hotel and tourism by 0.51%, investment by 0.77%, life insurance by 1.10%, mutual funds by 0.64%, non-life insurance by 0.67%, trading by 1.83%, and others by 1.66%. On the other hand, the development bank group rose by 0.72%, finance by 3.46%, hydropower by 0.35%, manufacturing and processing by 0.67%, and microfinance by 0.04%.
Nyadi Hydropower Limited’s share price saw a positive circuit, while SaptaKoshi Development Limited experienced the highest decline, with its share price dropping by 8.46%.
In terms of turnover, Sindhu Bikash Bank Limited had the highest with NPR 298.38 million, while the most traded stock by volume was NMB-50, with 675,159 shares changing hands.
