The Ministry of Finance has allocated an additional Rs 3.84 billion to support health-related programs, including health insurance payments.
Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel approved the funds following a request from the Ministry of Health and Population.
The government has designated Rs 3 billion for the Health Insurance Board, Rs 600 million for the treatment of senior citizens and other health services, and Rs 240 million to the Shahid Gangalal National Heart Center to provide free treatment for heart disease patients.
