The partnership — formalized between Ajesh Koirala, CEO of Esewa, and Sarveswaran Raja Gopal, CEO of TNG Digital Remittance — allows Nepalis in Malaysia to contribute to Nepal’s SSF directly through the Touch ‘n Go app, simplifying a process that was previously tangled in intermediaries and logistical hurdles.

“This is about more than remittances,” said Sarveswaran. “It’s a gateway to financial inclusion and social protection for the Nepali migrant workforce.” Koirala echoed the impact, noting the initiative would “strengthen long-term financial security for Nepali migrants.”

Licensed by Nepal Rastra Bank and operating under fintech giant F1Soft Group, Esewa Money Transfer now serves over 20 million individuals across Nepal. Touch ‘n Go, a pioneer in Malaysia’s digital economy, brings scale, security, and ease to the collaboration — laying the groundwork for future cross-border fintech solutions.

At its heart, this partnership is about digitally empowering Nepali workers abroad and connecting them back to Nepal’s formal economy — one e-payment at a time.
