May 20: The Revenue Leakage (Investigation and Control- first amendment) Bill- 2075′ was presented in a meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today.
Finance Minister Dr Yuba Raj Khatiwada presented the document before the session on behalf of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. A note of protest introduced by lawmaker Prem Suwal regarding the bill was rejected by the majority. In his response to issues raised by Suwal through the note, the Finance Minister pledged punishment against those employees violating the code of conducts.
He also promised to bring those foreign bank accounts of Nepalis opened without taking permission from the Nepal Rastra Bank under the purview of law.
