Birendranagar, August 25: Homestay is to be operated in 16 different places in Karnali. The decision to this end was taken by the Karnali State Ministry of Industry, Tourism, and Environment. The homestay is being established considering the tourist sites in Karnali State, according to information officer at the Ministry Sher Bahadur Rokaya.
As hotels are not easily available for tourists in the remote areas of Karnali, homestay is being operated. The areas selected for the establishment of the homestay are Pachajharana area of Kalikot, Pili area of Khadachakra municipality, Tatopani in Jumla, Tripura Sundari in Dolpa, Dullu of Dailkeh, Jyari, and Lamachaur of Mugu. Likewise, Syarpu of Rukum, Simikot of Humla, Kupinde of Salyan and Patalganga of Birendranagar, Surkhet will also have homestay facilities for the visiting tourists.
A budget of Rs. 2.5 to 5 million has been allocated for the construction of the homestay in the State. Likewise, the Ministry has been carrying out various infrastructure development works in the different tourist destination of the State. RSS
