Betrawati, December 25 : An agriculture production collection centre has come into operation at Shivapuri rural municipality-5, Sherabagar in Nuwakot.
A RCC building was constructed at the total investment of Rs 4.51 million including grant assistance of Rs 3.32 million from Shivapuri rural municipality, Rs 968,000 from United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Rs 186,000 from local farmers.
Inaugurating the centre, member of the House of Representatives Heet Bahadur Tamang said, “Investment on agriculture needs to be increased to make the country prosperous”.
Also speaking on the occasion, Province-3 Deputy Speaker Radhika Tamang expressed her confidence that the establishment of collection centre would help promote agriculture tourism in the district.
Likewise, Shivapuri rural municipality chairperson Ram Krishna Thapa pledged to continue support for supplying farmers’ agro products to market through collection centre. RSS
