Kathmandu, September 29 : The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order not to implement the Public Procurement Monitoring Office’s decision to blacklist OBCI Private Limited (OMNI).
A single bench of Justice Purushottam Bhandari of the SC handed down such order on Monday (September 28) that will remain in effect until October 8.
After OMNI had been found to have imported sub-standard medical equipment pertaining to COVID-19 in high costs, the Office decided to blacklist it for a year on September 14.
However, proprietor of the company, Paras KC, on September 25, lodged a writ at the SC demanding revocation of the PPMO’s decision.
