Kathmandu, November 24: Art Exhibition has kicked off at Nepal Art Council of Babarmahal in the capital.
The exhibition, which started on November 22, will conclude on December 1. “It is focused on depicting the life and teachings of Padmasambhava.
He was a spiritual master of the eighth century, which played a vital role in introducing and expanding Vajrayana, a branch of Buddhism,” says Saroj Bajracharya, coordination of the exhibition.
The seven-day long exhibition is expected to see the total footfalls of 2,000.
According to Bajracharya, who is also a curator of Devina Arts Promotion, more than 60 pieces of paintings pertaining to the vital aspects of Padmasambhava are being displayed in the event. Their prices range from Rs 8,000 to Rs 20,0000.
