Senior Vice President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Chandra Prasad Dhakal has said that the government needs to develop small, domestic, small and medium industries to boost economic development in Nepal.
While addressing the Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) conference organized by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry in Lalitpur on Monday, Dhakal complained that the development of the SME sector is not going well despite the fact that this sector has a huge potential to create jobs and to boost economic development. He said that instead of blaming only the government and policy makers for the responsibility of the private sector, it is necessary to take necessary initiatives from their own side as well.
Dhakal said that the problem of liquidity is being eased in the market after the formation of a new government. He also expressed confidence that the current government will carry out the necessary work to solve the problems of the private sector.
