Kathmandu, February 2 : The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a charge sheet against Bijay Kumar Chaudhary, deputy director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), at the Special Court of Kathmandu for his involvement in illicitly amassing assets.
Stating that Chaudhary abused his authority, CIAA has sought confiscation of Chaudhary’s disproportionate income amounting to Rs 21.4 million in its charge sheet.
According to the corruption watchdog, Chaudhary transferred a majority of his illegally amassed assets in the name of his wife Priyanka Kumari Chaudhary.
