June 17 : Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada has said the government is carrying out necessary homework to expand the 4G service nationwide in the upcoming fiscal year.
In his replies to the queries raised in a National Assembly meeting today, he, who is also Finance Minister, came up with this information.
During the meeting, he also said that Nepal should have its own satellite and all procedures in this regard would take place transparently on the basis of competition.
Similarly, Minister Khtiwada pledged that the government would distribute public welfare advertisements to the media houses in a fair and systematic way after the establishment of the proposed Advertisement Board.
According to him, the necessary processes have also begun to operate Radio Nepal and Nepal Television under the Public Service Broadcasting so as to develop them as autonomous and competent entities.
