Gold prices have seen a continuous decline this week. Following a drop in the international market, the Nepali market has also experienced a steady fall in gold prices for the past four days.
Last Sunday, the price of gold decreased sharply by Rs 11,600 per tola in a single day, settling at Rs 241,900. On Monday, it dropped again by Rs 2,000 per tola, bringing the trading price down to Rs 239,900.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers Association, gold price fell further on Tuesday by Rs 2,900 per tola, reaching Rs 237,000. Today, it declined once more by Rs 700 per tola, setting the new price at Rs 236,300.
Silver prices, however, have increased. On Tuesday, silver was traded at Rs 2,920 per tola, and today it rose to Rs 2,965.
In the international market, gold is currently being traded at around USD 3,960 per ounce.
