Kathmandu, June 29 : With a spike in the COVID-19 cases particularly in the Kathmandu Valley, Ministry of Health and Population has urged its denizens not to move house until it is compulsory.
In a regular press meet today held by the ministry in the capital, spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam came with such an appealing.
“As the valley has relatively high population density, the chances of the rapid spread of the coronavirus infections here are simply huge. So, we request its dwellers to stay indoors to the greatest extent possible for their own safety,” he said adding, “If they are obliged to go outside their houses, it is important to maintain the physical distance of at least 2 meter and wear face masks.”
Moreover, the ministry asked the valley inhabitants to adopt other measures like carefully washing hands with soaps and delivering proper care especially to the elders for the protection against the deadly disease.
In the past 24 hours, 8 more COVID-19 cases were found in the valley alone and additional 246 such cases in the entire country
