Five airlines that have been operating domestic flights have stated that they will not be able to fly in the new schedule implemented by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) from Thursday.
In a joint statement, the airline operators’ association said that five companies – Buddha Air, Yeti Airlines, Shree Airlines, Saurya Airlines and Gun Airlines – would not be able to fly according to the new schedule.
CAAN had decided to operate the domestic flights till midnight to reduce air traffic pressure at Tribhuvan International Airport.
CAAN had asked the domestic airlines to carry out the revised operation on time. Accordingly, the association has stated that it will not be able to operate regular flights after 8 pm after the companies asked them to revise the currently approved flight schedule according to the new schedule.
The association has demanded to implement the slot-related arrangement for the last three days.
