The corridor has helped transfer electricity produced by four hydropower projects in the region. It has connected the produce of three hydropower projects constructed in Dordi Khola and one built in Chepe Khola of Lamjung district.

Ramesh Poudel, chief of the Dordi Corridor Transmission Line Project, said that the connectivity to national grid has helped prevent possible wastage of the electricity produced by various projects. The transmission line has come online since August this year.

Of the projects served by the Dordi Corridor, the 27 MW Dordi Khola Hydropower Project is the largest of all. The project developed by Himalayan Power Partner Ltd, a subsidiary of IME Group and NRN Investment Ltd, started production on August 30.

Similarly, 25 MW Upper Dordi ‘A’ and 12.1 MW Dordi-1 hydropower projects have also been supplying electricity via the corridor. Likewise, 8.83 MW Chepe Khola Small Hydropower Project has also supplied its produce to the national grid in the current fiscal year.

The hydropower developers have expedited under construction projects after the authority built the transmission line in the area.  The 54 MW Super Dordi ‘B’ Hydropower Project, which is said to have completed 97 percent of  construction work, is expected to start its production in the next few months.
