Finance Minister Khatiwada insists on right use of SEZ

Kavrepalanchowk, December 08: Finance Minister Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada has called for the proper use of Panchkhal-based (under-construction) special economic zone (SEZ). During his visit to the construction site yesterday, the Minister was of the view that it should not have fate like the IT Park.

He took time to urge local representatives to show their promptness to complete the project based in Panchkhal municipality-8 on time, pledging no budget constraint towards that end. Stating that the government could not operate the SEZ alone, he insisted on the need for cooperation from local governments. The federal government could fund an approach road to the Zone in coordination with the state government, according to him. The Finance Minister also directed the contractor to complete the 150-million project within the agreed time. RSS
