Kathmandu, October 15: Newly appointed Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has stressed on the need to augment the economic activities across the country by coping up with the COVID-19 pandemic. He did so in a meeting with the ministry officials and subordinates helf after assuming the office today.
Stating that the national budget and monetary policy of the current fiscal year are designed specifically to resolve the economic anomalies triggered by the pandemic, Minister Poudel opined,” Their effective and efficient implementation could well spur the growth of the national economy .
He also directed the concerned officials to increase the capital spending and accelerate development activities by maintaining financial discipline. RSS
