The price of gold, which had fallen by Rs 17,200 per tola last week, has decreased again today.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, the price of gold dropped by Rs 1,400 per tola today, bringing it down to Rs 238,300.
On Sunday and Monday, gold prices had remained stable at Rs 239,700 per tola.
Gold prices had risen by Rs 3,400 over Friday and Sunday. Before that, however, prices had decreased by Rs 17,200 over a period of four days—and the downward trend continued today.
Between Ashoj 19 and Ashoj 30 (a 13-day period), the price of gold had increased by Rs 34,800 per tola.
On Mangsir 10 last year, gold prices had dropped by Rs 15,900 per tola in a single day.
The price of silver has also declined today. According to the federation, silver fell by Rs 45 per tola, bringing it down to Rs 3,015.
