Gold prices in Nepal rose sharply on Friday, climbing by Rs 2,100 per tola in the domestic market, according to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association.
Gold was traded at Rs 267,800 per tola, up from Rs 265,700 per tola on the previous trading day. Despite this increase, prices remain below the all-time high of Rs 270,600 per tola recorded on December 28, 2025.
Silver, meanwhile, moved in the opposite direction. Its price fell by Rs 55 per tola to Rs 4,780, compared with Rs 4,835 per tola a day earlier.
Silver had previously reached a record high of Rs 4,935 per tola on January 7, driven by strong demand and global price movements.
