Kathmandu, May 2: The government has approved the foundation paper of the five-year 15th plan to be enforced from 2076/77 to 2080/81 BS. The plan has prepared the foundation paper indicating how the country achieves human, physical and social developments with economic transformation, informed Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gokul Prasad Banskota.
Sharing the information about the recent Cabinet decisions at a press meet on Thursday, Minister Banskota, who is also the Spokesperson of the government, informed that a software application on sub-national treasury regulation would be implemented at all local levels. This application would help wipe out duplication and ensure financial transparency.
All tiers of government would have the same model of budget making and spending. Similarly, the government decided to accept some Rs 3.33 billion grants to be provided by the Saudi Development Fund for the post-quake reconstruction. Arms and Ammunition Regulation 2028 would be amended. The use of forest area is allowed for the Darbanga-Myagdi Hydropower Project, Phisling-Tolad-Shaktikhor rural road upgrading and the Mahakali Irrigation Project.
The Cabinet meeting also took the decision to forward the annual report of 2074/2075 presented by the Prime Minister as per the Good Governance Act to the federal parliament. The press release issued by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology also informed that the Cabinet meeting approved the Military Technical Service Regulation 2075 and IT Emergency Assistance Group (Operation and Management) Directive 2075.
