Kathmandu, September 29 : The government has decided to receive the grants and concessional loans provided by multilateral lending institutions. The Cabinet meeting on Thursday (September 28) made a decision to this effect in the capital.
As per the meet, a talk team under the leadership of the joint secretary of the Finance Ministry will be formed so as to receive USD 80 million (around Rs 9.38 billion) from the World Bank for the “Rural Economic and Enterprise Development Project” and USD 150 million (around Rs 18 billion) from the Asian Development Bank for “South Asia Sub-regional Cooperation Airport Capacity Enhancement Project”.
Moreover, the meeting decided to approve the economic and technical assistance worth approximately Rs 3.52 billion to be provided by the UK Government for the Nepal Health Sector Programme III.
