Kathmandu, August 31 : Around the Kathmandu valley, the government is planning to develop tourism facilities that can help cater around 500 thousand tourists. It was revealed in a meeting held between Minister for Tourism ,Yogesh Bhattarai and the directors of the Nepal Tourism Board in the capital today.
In the meet, Minister Bhattarai also directed them to carry out a feasibility study regarding the development of the facilities that might include hiking trails, mountain bike trails, etc.
Similarly, he instructed the board to come up with digital materials pertaining to the promotion of Nepal’s tourism in seven different languages, viz. Nepali, Hindi, Chinese, Portuguese, Arabi and Spanish.
Likewise, the minister directed the directors of the NTB to utilize the current period of the COVID-19 pandemic to prepare virtual tour packages about various tourist attractions of the country like world heritage sites, mountains, wetlands museums and national parks, among others.
