Kathmandu, August 31 : The Confederation of Nepalese Industries Youth Entrepreneurship Forum (CNIYEF) has urged the government not to obstruct the home delivery services carried out by online stores in the capital . Issuing a press release today, the forum came with such an appeal.
It may be noted that the Nepal Police arrested several e-commerce entrepreneurs and delivery persons on August 27 citing that the home delivery services were against prohibitory orders issued by the District Administration Office, Kathmandu.
The delivery of the daily essentials to the homes of customers though cashless transaction (e-payment) especially in these challenging times triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic shall be encouraged rather than restricted, according to the CNIYEF.
It has further stated the set health protocol was being observed while delivering the goods adding, “It is a creative and safety way to reach the goods to the costumers to minimize the pandemic related risks and meet their needs as well.”
