Kathmandu, November 1: The government is preparing to resume the tourism business by adopting the necessary safety measures regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Yogesh Kumar Bhattarai revealed this information while speaking in a virtual event organized by Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) on its 47th anniversary on Sunday.
He also shared that the proposal to resume the tourism business, which is hit hardest by the pandemic, would be soon tabled in the Cabinet meeting.
Recently, Prince of Bahrain, Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, returned home after successfully completing his expedition here in the country. In this regard, Minister Bhattarai said,” The Prince’s Nepal visit has sent a clear message to the world that Nepal is simply safe to visit even during the current coronavirus crisis.”
It may be note that the foreign tourists carrying a negative PCR test report are being allowed to visit Nepal after October 17.
