The India-Nepal Startup Partnership Network (IN-SPAN), a new cross-border startup platform, has announced the opening of applications for Nepali entrepreneurs with innovative business ideas. The initiative aims to strengthen collaboration between the startup ecosystems of Nepal and India.

IN-SPAN offers an eight-week fully funded training and innovation program at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras, in partnership with IIT Madras Pravartak, one of India’s leading incubation centres. IIT Madras Pravartak has supported 46 startups to date, with 14 of them successfully commercialising their products and technologies.

Selected participants will gain hands-on learning, mentorship, and internship opportunities designed to help transform early-stage ideas into scalable ventures, according to the Embassy of India in Nepal.

The program builds on earlier India-Nepal startup engagements, including the first India-Nepal Startup Connect held on January 24, 2023, and the second edition—a curtain-raiser for Startup Mahakumbh—held on February 7, 2025, both organised by the Embassy of India in Kathmandu.

Selection will be competitive, based on applications and interviews to ensure only high-potential entrepreneurs are chosen.

Applications are open from November 1 to 15, 2025.
