Parsa, March 26 : Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Matrika Prasad Yadav, today visited the Birgunj Sugar Factory and took stock of it. The factory has remained closed for the past one and half decades.
On the occasion, the minister expressed his concern over the lack of proper protection of machinery and directed people concerned towards that industry.
Presently, temporary bench of the High Court, Janakpur is operational on the factory premises. As the minister said, his team arrived here to inspect the land proposed for building the court’s infrastructure. The plot number 1131 owned by the factory has been proposed to utilize for the construction of court infrastructures. The minister said further discussions would be held about it later to determine whether it was suitable to implement the proposal.
The minister’s team comprised Supreme Court judge Hari Krishna Karki and High Court Janakpur’s temporary bench Birgunj chief judge Dilliraj Acharya among others.
