While the Nepal Rastra Bank is preparing the monetary policy, the share market has continued to rise.
On Wednesday, Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari briefed Finance Minister Janardan Sharma about the upcoming monetary policy that leads up in the share market.
The stock market rose by 74.93 points to over 2,000 on Thursday. The market, which had been rising since the beginning, stopped at 2037.64 points.
The stock market had risen by 41 points on Wednesday. The transaction amount has also increased on Thursday as compared to Wednesday. This indicates that investors are picking up shares as the market declines.
Over 7.2 million shares of 227 companies were traded in 47,392 transactions on Thursday. The turnover on this day was Rs 2.45 billion .
The share value of all sub-groups witnessed growth. Investors were more attracted to the trade and finance subgroup on Thursday.
