Kathmandu, October 8: The country has witnessed 3,439 new cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday (October 7), thus pushing the total number of such actives cases to 25,007.
Among the newly infected individuals, 1,684 were from the Kathmandu Valley alone (1,296 in Kathmandu, 293 in Lalitpur and 95 in Bhaktapur), said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population.
Likewise, there were 15 deaths due to the infection yesterday. With this, the total number of such fatalities has reached 578 in the country.
Similarly, 1,126 infected people were discharged from various health institutions after getting recovered. With this, the total number of such recoveries in the country has reached 68,668.
