The national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will operate direct flights to Sydney, Colombo and Seoul.
Yuvraj Adhikari, executive chairman of the Corporation, informed that an action plan has been prepared to fly to Sydney, Colombo, and Seoul soon.
At the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between four different organizations including the NAC and the private sector Nepal Chamber of Commerce, the chairman said that the flight would be extended to destinations including Sydney amid all kinds of pressure and influence.
“The NAC has done a lot of work for the flight to Sydney, but some syndicated groups are trying to prevent the corporation’s plane from going to Sydney, we will succeed in reaching the target by breaking various pressures,” he said.
The presiding officer said that the Corporation is trying to expand international flight destinations and increase the number of flights to existing destinations. He mentioned that there is a plan to purchase a ship for that purpose and make the service effective even if the ship is leased.
Stating that the corporation has a role in bringing foreign tourists to Nepal, the presiding officer pointed out the need for the government to pay attention to the management aspect of the corporation to make the corporation’s services more effective.
