Kathmandu, July 21: A national conference on rainwater harvesting is to be organized in the capital city on July 27-28. The conference is being held to create awareness on how the monsoon rains could be collected and managed for household use and disasters caused by the rains minimized.
The event to be organized jointly by Drinking Water and Sewerage Management and Smart Wash Solution would be attended by the officials from the government and non-government organizations and experts from the countries, including India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, South Korea and others.
Member of the organizing committee, Ramdip Sah informed that a total of 25 working papers on numerous issues as water scarcity, climate change and adaptation, rainwater harvesting and role of local levels, entrepreneurship, innovation, technology and financial assistance for drinking water, government policy etc. RSS
