Kathmandu, December 15 : Chairperson of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has urged the office-bearers of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) to work actively to expand the industry and business by focusing on the economic prosperity of the country.
In a meeting with the newly elected office-bearers of FNCCI yesterday, he said small and medium-scale businesses are the main foundation of the country’s economy, which needs recovery. The preparation of the FNCCI to work with a focus on this sector is welcome step.
The FNCCI delegation led by Chair Shekhar Golcha included senior Vice-president Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Vice-presidents Anjan Shrestha and Ram Chandra Sanghai, and Treasurer Sakuntalal Hirachan among others. On the occasion, FNCCI Chair Golcha said that the Federation was developing a vision paper along with recommendation of the private sector for the successfully recovery of the economy of the country amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic.
