Archana Khadka, spokesperson for the Nepal Airlines, said that the process for flying to the Incheon International Airport in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, has been advanced.

For this purpose, a 10-member safety audit sub-committee has been formed under the coordination of Deputy General Manager (Technical) Engineer Bikram KC. The committee has representation from the safety, engineering and other departments of the corporation.

A committee has been formed to conduct a safety audit for direct flight operations in South Korea. “For the flight, the Civil Aviation Authority under the South Korean Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) has to be audited, for the preparation of the same, a committee has been formed on behalf of the corporation and is about to start work,” said Khadka.

The corporation has started preparations for direct flights to South Korea in accordance with the plan to expand its international flight destinations. The corporation believes that after the presence of the national flag carrier and the start of direct flights, the market will be controlled and the price of air tickets will decrease and the obligations of the national flag carrier will also be fulfilled.

The corporation is currently operating international flights to three destinations in India and 10 destinations in eight countries.
