Hanoi, May 11: Nepal and Vietnam have forged consensus to strengthen bilateral relations and trade increment to new heights. In course of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s official visit of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, different bilateral agreements were signed today.
Agreements on Exemption of visa to diplomatic and official passport bearers and MoU on the establishment of a bilateral consultation mechanism between two governments were signed. Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Shanker Das Bairagi and Ngyen Quoc Dung, representative of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, signed the agreements.
Similarly, a letter of intent on negotiation on trade and an investment framework agreement was signed by the secretary at the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies Kedar Bahadur Adhikari and Deputy Minister of Industry of Vietnam, Dang Aoang An. The signing ceremony was held at the Presidential Palace in presence of Prime Ministers of Nepal and Vietnam.
