Kathmandu, January 3: Nepal Police has been honoured with the best arrears clearance award. Nepal Police bagged the first prize for 88.5 per cent clearance of arrears among the various bodies under the Home Ministry.
According to the report released yesterday, the rates of arrears clearance of the Ministry itself, Armed Police Force and Department of Investigation stand at 74.42 per cent, 86.96 per cent and Department of Investigation 84.62 per cent. Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa presented letter of appreciation and Rs 10,000 to Nepal Police chief Sarbendra Khanal.
