The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE), which fell by 21.63 points on Sunday, continued its downward trend on Monday. Despite a total share transaction of NPR 5.40 billion on Monday, NEPSE dropped by 10.14 points.
Along with the decline in the NEPSE index, market capitalization also decreased by 0.37%. In today’s trading, the share prices of 145 companies fell, while 85 companies saw an increase. Meanwhile, the share prices of 13 companies remained stable.
Despite the overall market decline, the indices of the finance, hotel and tourism, investment, and manufacturing & processing sectors showed gains. The mutual fund index remained unchanged, while all other sector indices dropped.
Rapti Hydro investors earned the highest profits today, whereas Mahalaxmi Development Bank investors faced the biggest losses.
