Kathmandu, December 13 : The Nepal Stock Exchange index has today seen a rise of 7.6 points to close at 1148.78. Similarly, the sensitive index, which measures the performance of class ‘A’ stocks, also increased by 1.64 points to settle at 244.70.
The market witnessed the trading of over Rs 323 million worth of 997,672 shares of the total 154 companies. Shares of seven subgroups made gains out of 10, while three dipped. Banking increased 8.55 points, while development bank 8.87, hydro power 8.8, non-life insurance 65.79, production 5.38, micro finance 11.61 and life-insurance 30.27. But three subgroups including hotel, finance and others went down 1.85 points, 0.44 and 2.57 respectively.
