Kathmandu, September 9 : The Kathmandu Valley Municipality Forum has called for the enforcement of odd-even system in vehicular operations by easing the prohibitory order imposed against the coronavirus pandemic. A meeting of the forum yesterday suggested the local administration to allow the vehicles other than the mass public ones to ply on the roads through such system based on the date.
The forum, however, said that the strict observance of the health and safety protocol shall be ensured while allowing the vehicular operations , said secretary of the forum and Mayor of Madhyapur Thimi municipality Madan Sundar Shrestha.
It also demanded more strict scrutiny of vehicles moving from and to the Kathmandu valley to stem the spread of the pandemic. “The responsibility for the same shall be given to the Nepal Army.”
