The 17th edition of the NADA Auto Show, held at Bhrikutimandap, attracted more than 160,000 visitors.
The exhibition, inaugurated by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on September 19, featured 135 stalls related to automobiles. According to the organizer, NADA, this year’s event showcased 30 new products compared to previous editions.
The exhibition drew attention from former prime ministers, leaders of various political parties, industrialists, young entrepreneurs, and the general public. Among the highlights, flying cars and robots became the main attractions for visitors.
During the closing ceremony, Minister for Health and Population, Pradeep Paudel, awarded certificates of appreciation to producers who operated the best exhibition stalls. Addressing the ceremony, Minister Paudel emphasized that the automobile sector contributes the highest revenue to the country while being directly connected with consumers.
“These exhibitions play a vital role in providing information about products and building consumer trust in producers,” he said. Paudel also highlighted the need for Nepal to focus on expanding automobile production, achieving self-reliance, ensuring accident-free road travel, and producing environmentally friendly auto equipment.
NADA President Karan Kumar Chaudhary stated that each edition of the auto show has been memorable, stressing the importance of Nepal embracing new technologies and equipment to move toward prosperity. “This year’s exhibition has opened the door of trust for the future of a new Nepal,” he said.
The event also showcased newly developed electric vehicles, spare parts, tires, lubricants, and other automotive products.
