In the first six months of 2025, Nepal welcomed 577,689 foreign tourists, with Indian nationals once again topping the list of international arrivals, according to data released by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). Despite a slight decline from the 583,011 tourists recorded in the same period last year, the figures reflect continued interest in Nepal as a global travel destination.

Other top source countries included the United States (58,326), China (52,514), Bangladesh (28,956), and the United Kingdom (27,068). Tourists also arrived in significant numbers from Australia (22,095), Thailand (17,634), Sri Lanka (15,432), Germany (14,455), and South Korea (12,726).

In June alone, Nepal recorded 76,425 international arrivals. The NTB continues to focus on diversifying tourist arrivals and promoting Nepal’s cultural, adventure, and eco-tourism attractions to sustain momentum in the post-pandemic recovery of the tourism sector.
