The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has blacklisted 11 construction companies, including some joint ventures, for failing to complete projects as per contractual agreements. The firms will be barred from participating in public procurement processes for periods ranging from one to two years.
The blacklisted companies include Bishal Home Construction Service (Udaypur), Jaleshwori Mahadev Wasabi Construction (Kathmandu), Sagun Fabrics (Biratnagar), Shubha RS Builders JV (Nepalgunj), Naveen Construction Service (Achham), JMC Construction (Surkhet), Kasyap Construction Service (Kathmandu), Galaxy Construction, Jalpa Construction Service, Mashta Bhawani Construction Service (Dolpa), and Shaheed Construction Service (Arghakhanchi).
According to the PPMO’s notice, Mashta Bhawani Construction was blacklisted for 1.5 years based on the recommendation of Chharka Tangsong Rural Municipality, Dolpa. Kasyap Construction was barred for two years following a request from the Surkhet Road Division. The other companies have been restricted for one year.
The office said the decision was taken to ensure accountability and enforce compliance in Nepal’s public construction sector.
