PPMO blacklists 22 firms, including 19 construction companies

The Public Procurement Monitoring Office (PPMO) has blacklisted 22 firms, including 19 construction companies, barring them from participating in public procurement processes. The blacklisted entities are from various sectors, from construction to legal services, clothing supply, and information technology.

Among the blacklisted companies, 19 are construction firms, with one each from the legal, fashion, and technical sectors. These firms have been banned from engaging in public contracts for durations ranging from one to three years.

The PPMO has taken action against these companies based on recommendations from various government offices. As per Section 63 (1) of the Public Procurement Act, 2063 BS, the blacklisted entities are prohibited from participating in any public procurement process for the specified duration.

IS Construction Pvt Ltd of Dipayal and Arvali Infrapower of New Delhi have been blacklisted for three years. The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law of Sudurpaschim Province recommended the blacklisting of IS, while action against Arvali was suggested by the Nepal Electricity Authority.

Additionally, Ganapati Group of Construction in Kathmandu, which failed to fulfill contractual obligations after securing two contracts in the Kaligandaki Corridor, has been blacklisted for two years. The Federal Road Supervision and Monitoring Office of the Department of Roads (DoR) and the Jomsom-Korla Road Project forwarded recommendations to the PPMO for this action.

Dhital Builders of Banke received a one year and six-month blacklisting on the recommendations of Sunkoshi Rural Municipality in Sindhuli and Saraswati Construction Service and Road Division Office in Nepalgunj.

Other companies blacklisted for varying durations include AKJ Construction of Chitwan, Panchapuri Construction of Surkhet, Sri Deuti Bajai Construction Services Pvt Ltd of Bardia, Pushpanjali Construction & Suppliers Pvt Ltd, and Pranish International Pvt Ltd of Kathmandu (1 year and 3 months each).

Those blacklisted for one year are Balaji Construction Services of Chitwan, Malika Construction of Jumla, Champawati Roda Dhunga Sand Processing Center Pvt Ltd of Lamjung, New Precious Fashion Wear of Lalitpur, Capital Enterprises Lalitpur, Prasad Construction of Banke, Baraha Nirman Sewa Surkhet, Satyaswari Construction Pvt Ltd of Kathmandu, Pashupati Construction Pvt Ltd, Creative Business International, Koshi Nirman Sewa Kathmandu, and Judicial Path and Legal Services Pvt Ltd.
