Kathmandu, November 11 : Nepal has begun the process to purchase chemical fertilizer from Bangladesh has begun. The Ministry of Agriculture started the very process after getting the permission for the same by a cabinet meeting held on Monday (November 9).
“We are in the phase of sending an agreement letter to the Bangladeshi government to get 50,000 metric tonnes of urea through the G2G model,” Spokesperson of the Ministry, Dr Hari Bahadur KC, said.
KC further added that the chemical fertilizer of first instalment might arrive within next two weeks after completing all the required process.
It may be noted that many farmers across the country have been facing extreme toughness to cultivate their crops due to the lack of timely supply of fertilizers.
