The Government of Nepal collected Rs 1.178 trillion (Rs 11 kharba 78 arba 82 crore) in revenue during the fiscal year 2081/82, reflecting a 13.33 percent increase compared to Rs 1.058 trillion collected in FY 2080/81.
Initially, the target for FY 2081/82 was Rs 1.419 trillion, but it was revised to Rs 1.286 trillion during the mid-year review. Based on the revised target, the government achieved 91.60 percent of the goal.
According to Uttarkumar Khatri, Chief of the Revenue Division at the Ministry of Finance, despite challenges posed by disasters and global conditions, revenue collection has shown encouraging growth compared to the previous fiscal year. He added that preparations are already underway to meet the revenue target of Rs 1.315 trillion for the current fiscal year.

These figures indicate a steady upward trend in Nepal’s revenue collection over the past decade, despite some fluctuations due to internal and external challenges.
